Legacy
Pioneering Progress: Ameritrack’s Journey
Founding Story
Ameritrack was born of many leaders with a combined 117 years of expertise. Harris Eldridge and Ralph Jackson formerly owned Armcore Railroad Contractors, Inc. (1978-1998), after which Armcore was sold to Railworks—formed in November of 1998. Harris Eldridge, Ralph Jackson, and Mike Jackson founded Ameritrack—then known as Ameritrack Railroad Contractors, Inc. (2003)—and were shortly after joined by Mike Eldridge in December 2004.
Expansion
With the addition of Mike Jackson in 2004, Ameritrack expanded its engineering capabilities becoming a full-service railroad contractor. This expanded Ameritrack's scope from engineering small, regional projects to large-scale projects across the U.S.—from the East through the Midwest.
Partnership
In response to a growing customer base and demand, Ameritrack partnered with ASM Engineering (2009) to offer complete civil design services.
Continued Growth
New partnerships, including acquisition by Railserve, Inc. and The Marmon Group in 2010, allowed for continued growth and blending the company’s historic services with a forward-thinking approach to innovative solutions. Ameritrack has been a steadily growing force in the industrial rail construction industry ever since its conception.
